The Story Behind the Practice
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and became a Board Certified and Licensed Recreational Therapist in 2014. I later earned my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, becoming a Board Certified and Licensed Occupational Therapist in 2018. Over the past decade, I’ve developed broad clinical expertise across diverse diagnoses, patient populations, and care settings—including work in some of the most respected hospitals in the country.
While attending a private university in the Northeast, I was consistently recognized on the Dean’s List. As a self-made professional, I take great pride in having independently supported my education and career—without investors, financial backing, or shortcuts. Every step of this journey has been built from the ground up through grit, integrity, and commitment.
In 2024, I founded Chelsea O’Boyle Occupational Therapy, LLC—a mobile, woman-owned private practice delivering holistic, individualized OT services directly to adults, children, OT students, and fellow healthcare professionals. This is a solo practice grounded in clinical excellence, lived experience, and a deep dedication to service—both locally and nationally.
In addition to client care, I serve as a mentor to allied health professional students and new graduates, offering guidance rooted in both clinical experience and real-world entrepreneurship. I also share educational and healing-centered content on TikTok, where I’ve built a growing community of over 2,600 followers. Through this platform, I provide practical therapy tools, advocate for ethical and trauma-informed care, and offer real-life insight into OT, motherhood, and business ownership. It’s one more way I aim to make quality support more accessible, relatable, and rooted in lived experience.
In 2025, I expanded my mission to empower and educate by self-publishing my first digital e-guide in February and releasing my first full-length motivational book in June. Both works reflect my passion for healing, growth, and supporting others through real-world wisdom.
A portion of every business milestone is donated to organizations focused on mental health advocacy. After more than a decade in the field, I remain deeply passionate about expanding access to purpose-driven care and mentoring the next generation of occupational therapists.
The Heart Behind the Practice
I’ve spent much of my life crisscrossing the United States, which shaped me into a resilient, adaptable, and fiercely independent woman. From the age of sixteen, I juggled multiple jobs and put myself through college without financial support. That journey taught me grit, resourcefulness, and the quiet power of building something from nothing.
I’m not someone who took the easy path. I worked for everything—every degree, every opportunity, every part of the life I have now. And while the path wasn’t always linear or easy, it was mine. I’ve faced hardship, loss, and adversity—personally and professionally—and those experiences made me more grounded, compassionate, and clear on what matters.
Today, I’m a licensed occupational therapist, small business owner, marathon runner, and mother of two. I’m also a survivor and a person in progress—still growing, still giving. I am committed to continuing to build a life grounded in healing, hard work, and hope.
I created this practice not just as a business, but as a reflection of who I am: self-made, purpose-driven, and committed to meeting people where they are. Everything I’ve built—without investors, shortcuts, or handouts—is an extension of that belief: that care should be meaningful, personal, and built with heart.
